towards smart upgrades. Recently Dubai has announced the smart traffic management system to be
started soon and the whole set of new system would be completed by 2030. This will help to improve
the safety for road users and ease of personal mobility. The project cost AED590million for expansion of smart traffic system. The project encompasses new traffic control system for Dubai as well. It will also provide instant traffic information system to the public about road networks via new variable messaging signs and smart apps. The project covers traffic monitoring via installation of cameras, Vehicle detection devices as well as Bluetooth devices, weather sensors and also the installation of 112 message boards to keep the motorists informed of accidents. Vice President and Prime Minister also announced that 25% of all journeys in Dubai would be transformed into driver less journeys. Technology is hence the heart of advancement in today’s worlds. In Pakistan this program must be applied as traffic situations are worst over here than any other Part of the world rather than metro bus services and the never ending roads construction that applies a whole new infrastructure to be built.
